Matthew Barrett is Lecturer and Tutor of Systematic Theology and Church History at Oak Hill Theological College in London, as well as the founder and executive editor of Credo Magazine.
Barrett is the author of numerous book reviews and articles in academic and popular journals and magazines. He is the author of several books, including God’s Word Alone: The Authority of Scripture (Zondervan), and Reformation Theology: A Systematic Summary (Crossway). He is also the series editor of The 5 Solas Series with Zondervan. Currently he is working on several more writing projects, including a book on the attributes of God with Baker and a book on Jesus’s understanding of biblical authority with IVP.
Matthew Barrett is originally from California. He received his BA from Biola University in La Mirada, CA, and his MDiv and PhD from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, in systematic theology. Prior to moving to London, he was a professor at California Baptist University, as well as senior pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Matthew is passionate about theology and loves nothing more than seeing his students hungry to learn the great doctrines of the faith in order to know God more. Having served as a pastor in the local church, he is a theologian with a pastor’s heart.
Matthew is married to Elizabeth and they have four children. They can usually be found traveling on the tube around London, watching movies with popcorn and candy, and looking for sunlight somewhere in England.
