The January issue of Credo Magazine, “In Christ Alone,” is finally here! The January issue argues for the exclusivity of the gospel, especially in light of the movement known as inclusivism. This issue will seek to answer questions like: Can those who have never heard the gospel of Christ be saved? Will everyone be saved in the end or will some spend an eternity in hell? Must someone have explicit faith in Christ to be saved? Contributors include David Wells, Robert Peterson, Michael Horton, Gerald Bray, Todd Miles, Todd Borger, Ardel Caneday, Nathan Finn, Trevin Wax, Michael Reeves, and many others.
This week we will be giving away three books from IVP:
Reading Scripture with the Reformers, by Timothy George
Justification: Five Views, Contributors: Michael Horton, Michael Bird, James Dunn, Veli-Matti Kaerkkaeine, Gerald O’Collins and Oliver Rafferty
Galatians, Ephesians, by Gerald Bray

Enjoyed the review of Driscoll’s new book. It’s not something I’m interested in reading but have been reading various reviews of on the internets. I particularly liked how the author pointed out the inconsistencies in the infamous sex chapter.

All pertinent questions; I would argue that faith in Christ is so explicitly taught in the NT that I don’t see how it’s possible for salvation apart from it.

The review of Mark and Grace Driscoll’s book by Jeremy Pierre helped to give another perspective of the book. Jeremy gave kudos where they were due, but I really enjoyed the fact that he made an appeal to the author to reconsider Chapter 10 on sex.
